A BIT ABOUT THE FARM
Pigface Farm is a small-scale market garden and mixed farm growing seasonal vegetables, citrus, mangoes and pasture-raised eggs for the local community. Founded by Peta Furyk in 2024, the farm is guided by chemical-free, low-impact and regenerative practices, with produce available directly from the farmer at local markets.
WHAT MAKES THEM UNIQUE

Pigface Farm is intentionally small, local and values-led. Rather than chasing scale, Peta is creating a farm that works in rhythm with the seasons, supports her own wellbeing and strengthens local food security. Her approach is minimal input, chemical-free and focused on building a closed-loop system wherever possible.

WHAT MAKES THEM UNIQUE

Pigface Farm grew from a decade-long yearning to live and learn on the land. After a health crisis in her 20s led her to question where her food came from, Peta spent years volunteering, interning and attending workshops on farms around the world. In 2024, she took the leap and began leasing 25 acres to bring her own farm dream to life. As a first-generation female farmer, she is learning by doing, trusting her intuition and building the networks, skills and resilience needed to grow food in a way that feels honest, healthy and connected to community.

Why are partnerships like Vitality Farms important?

“Partnerships like Vitality Farms help small growers feel seen and connected. They create space for shared knowledge, stronger relationships and the kind of community support local food systems need to grow.”
