Beyond the Farm Gate is a practical 5-week Lunch & Learn series designed to help Northern Rivers producers, growers, makers and food businesses explore value-adding, diversification and new income pathways.

Across five weekly sessions, we will look at what you already have — produce, surplus, waste streams, by-products, land, skills, infrastructure, relationships, provenance, production methods or ideas — and explore whether these could become viable products, services, partnerships or pilot projects.

Each session will feature a combination of guest experts, producers or case studies, with Laticia Braving from Vitality Farms Northern Rivers facilitating the conversation and guiding participants through a practical pathway from idea to viability.

This is not a theory-heavy webinar series. It is designed to help you bring a real opportunity, challenge or idea and look at it through five key lenses:

• Opportunity
• Market
• Technical feasibility
• Producer readiness
• Commercial viability

By the end of the series, participants should have a clearer understanding of what they could value-add, who might buy or benefit from it, what technical or compliance questions need to be answered, whether the idea is viable, and what their next best step could be.
